"The special today was fish or beef and potatoes. We got the fish and it was really good. Not greasy, came with two sides and hushpuppies. They have specials 7 days a week."

"My husband and I were out looking for some land to buy, we lost our home in the flooding last year near Erwin. We came across this restaurant, it had about 50 cars parked, and tons of people taking out orders, so we thought this place has to be good. It's the best home cooking I've had in a restaurant, in years, and the waitress's are sweet and wonderful! They even gave us information about some land that was for sale. I got the special of the day, they had two, I got the beef, and taters, with two sides, fried cabbage cornbread Mac n cheese. The other choice was fried white fish or flounder. That looked delicious and was a generous size and portion. My husband got a cheeseburger, he asked for it to be smashed thin, we don't like thick hamburgers, and they did exactly what he wanted. Everything is so Delicious! You won't be disappointed, and the prices are average, not sky high like most are these days. We're going to have to get up early one day and go try their breakfast, I'd bet it beats any chain restaurants breakfast hands down. Can't wait to try. "Amazing Breakfast and Perfect Service! We finally made it to Wayne and Nancy's this Saturday for breakfast, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Even with a packed parking lot, the atmosphere was warm and the service was excellent. The food was the star of the show. I highly recommend the biscuit and gravy--it was rich and incredibly delicious. They also nailed the basics: my eggs and bacon were cooked precisely to order. It's rare to find a place that gets it right every time."

"Oh my. Small town hospitality at its best. Food was fantastic, prices were amazing & service was outta the park. Worth the time to make the detour. We had the grands & one wanted chicken nuggets (for breakfast). Not a problem. Pancakes as big as your plate, everything cooked hot & fresh. Great coffee. Ask for Anna, she will take care of you! In town for the Holidays & got Excellent recommendations for things to do. Would definitely go back."

"If you're looking for a country diner with super friendly service, Wayne & Nancy's is the jam! My husband was especially excited to find homemade biscuits and gravy and real country ham. He said the biscuits were made just like his Mom's, and he really enjoyed the steak biscuit as well. My son devoured his french toast and my western omelet was good. As for ambience, don't let the fact that it's located in a convenience store deter you. Highly recommend for the food, service and value!"
